Summit Atlanta Motorama

April 16, 2015 – 5:06 am

Here we are again, the start of show season. We are headed to Summit Atlanta Motorama at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Ryan and Craig handled the transporter while Zac and I co-drove the UMI 2010 Camaro. The trip was long but uneventful. We didn’t plan the route too well and ended up driving straight through downtown Atlanta. Oops.

Friday was spent at the track for the most part. We set up the booth in the Summit tent and also set our display at the auto-x track. For the afternoon we went to Summit GA to see the retail store and also hit a local pit BBQ joint. Sweet tea. Yes. After returning to the track we met with Bill Howell and did some final event planning. The evening saw us at Buckner’s with the ASCS guys. Nice southern family style place.

Jerry’s ’99 Camaro SS is in the transporter.

The 2010 makes for a crisp and responsive road trip car.

Fuel stop somewhere in GA.

7:43 pm arrival. Long day.

Downtown Atlanta. What fun.

All of the Summit catalogs open to UMI.
